Zum Auftakt unserer dreit\u00e4gigen Projektwoche hatten wir einen besonderen Gast eingeladen: Andr\u00e9 Wiersig, Extremschwimmer und UN-Botschafter der Meere. Die UN-Ozeandekade (2021 \u2013 2030) als auch das Unesco-Motto unserer Projekttage \u201eUnsere Welt. Unser Erbe. Unsere Verantwortung\u201c stellten die Weichen f\u00fcr einen spannenden und inspirierenden Schultag.<\/p>\n

Trotz seines extrem vollen Terminkalenders nahm Andr\u00e9 Wiersig sich Zeit und verbrachte einen Schultag in der Aula unserer Schule, wo er Klassen und Kursen aus verschiedenen Jahrgangsstufen von seiner Mission berichtete: Aufmerksamkeit auf die Wichtigkeit der Ozeane f\u00fcr unser \u00dcberleben zu richten und auf ihre unglaubliche Sch\u00f6nheit und Vielfalt hinzuweisen.<\/p>\n

Unterst\u00fctzt von packendem und informativem Video- und Bildmaterial berichtete Andr\u00e9 Wiersig von seinen Begegnungen mit Meeresbewohnern, die er beim Durchschwimmen der sieben schwierigsten Meerengen der Welt, der \u201eOcean\u2019s Seven\u201d, getroffen hat: von verspielten Kegelrobben und geselligen Delfinen bis hin zu neugierigen Haien und singenden Walen. Er selbst hat das Ausma\u00df der Verschmutzung der Ozeane durch Plastik am eigenen K\u00f6rper erfahren. Als er nachts auf dem offenen Ozean beispielsweise mit dem Kopf in eine Plastikt\u00fcte schwamm oder sich eine Platzwunde an einer Europalette zuzog, die im Wasser trieb.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9 Wiersigs Berichte \u00fcber das Leben von Menschen und Tieren, die im und am Rande der Ozeane leben, waren inspirierend und wurden von vielen Fragen unserer Sch\u00fcler*innen abgerundet. Wer Andr\u00e9 Wiersig erlebt hat, der wird m\u00f6glicherweise von heute an eine Dose Thunfisch oder den n\u00e4chsten Strandurlaub mit anderen Augen betrachten.<\/p>\n
