Der neunte November ist nicht nur irgendein Tag. Es ist der Tag, an dem vor 85 Jahren die Reichspogromnacht stattgefunden hat. W\u00e4hrend dieser Nacht sind viele j\u00fcdische Gesch\u00e4fte, Synagogen, Wohnungen und j\u00fcdische Friedh\u00f6fe zerst\u00f6rt worden. Diese Nacht markierte den \u00dcbergang von der Diskriminierung der deutschen J\u00fcdinnen und Juden hin zu ihrer systematischen Vertreibung und Ermordung.<\/p>\n

Am neunten November 2024 sind wir, der evangelische Religionskurs des zehnten Jahrgangs, nach Aachen gefahren, um die Stolpersteine von Emmy Lippmann, Herbert Kaufmann, Bertha und Philipp Moses im Frankenberger Viertel zu reinigen.<\/p>\n

Auch die UNESCO-AG hat in diesem Jahr zum zweiten Mal an der Reinigungsaktion der Stolpersteine teilgenommen. Wie im vergangenen Jahr, wurden im Frankenberger Viertel die Steine von Kurt Meyer, Meta Rosenberg und der vierk\u00f6pfigen Familie Blankenstein gereinigt. In einer Zeit, in welcher offener Judenhass und Antisemitismus in Deutschland wieder \u00f6ffentlich wird, ist es umso wichtiger, ein deutliches Zeichen der Solidarit\u00e4t und Gemeinschaft zu zeigen. Dies war ein besonderes Anliegen der Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler der UNESCO-AG.<\/p>\n

Was sind Stolpersteine? Stolpersteine sind ein Kunstprojekt der K\u00fcnstlers Gunter Demnig. Sie sind im Boden verlegte Gedenktafeln, welche an J\u00fcdinnen und Juden erinnern, die an diesen Orten vor und im 2. Weltkrieg gewohnt haben und die dann dem Holocaust zum Opfer gefallen sind. Stolpersteine erinnern in ganz Europa an die Schrecken der Naziherrschaft.<\/p>\n

Wir wollen diese schrecklichen Ereignisse nicht vergessen lassen und wollten mit unserer Aktion die Opfer ehren und ihrer gedenken, welche Aachen ihr Zuhause nannten.<\/p>\n
